There are many dedicated yet stumbling priests who know their weaknesses but
still want to offer the Lord the best they have. I would like to quote a prayer
made by one of them:
Lord, you said: “You did not choose me but I chose you.”
But when I see around me people
who are much holier and worthier,
more intelligent and skilled than myself…
sometimes I wish I didn’t hear your call.
It would have spared you an accusation
that you have made
A FOOLISH CHOICE.
