Hats off to you Mr. Farmer, there is Hope yet!

Who ever knew about Alderman Alan Graham, an ordinary farmer from northern Ireland, until he appeared in BBC in the past few days as one of the men who made headlines in the year 2011.  But what has he done to get to be a part of such an illustrious list.  This Northern Ireland farmer had agreed to allow R&B singer Rihanna to shoot a video in one of his fields.   But when he drew up the agreement little did he know who she was and what she was up to. But she soon caught his eye when he was about to head for home after work in the field and saw her on his land in little more than a bikini.

As a devout Christian he regarded her dress sense as inappropriate and unacceptable, so he halted the filming. And not only that he stopped the filming but this simple farmer had also the guts and the courage to tell this barbarian singer that she had to do a serious thinking on her life and “find a greater God.”  While a meeting with Rihanna would be the stuff of dreams for most red-blooded males, Mr. Graham instructed her to brush up on her Bible reading before sending her on her way.  The devout Christian farmer said: “If someone wants to borrow my field and things become inappropriate, then I say, ‘enough is enough’. I wish no ill will against Rihanna and her friends. Perhaps they could acquaint themselves with a greater God.”

Hats off to you Mr. Farmer, there is Hope yet!
